ABOUT ME
👋Hey, I’m Jacob the maker behind Breizh Blades. here's a bit of info about me! |
🗡 I’ve been fascinated by knives for as long as I can remember. There’s just something about them that’s always captured my interest. I think it’s because cutting tools are one of the oldest and most important inventions in human history. without them, we probably wouldn’t even be here... I love how every culture around the world has developed its own unique blade shapes and designs, each one created for a reason, shaped by purpose and practicality. |
🌲 I moved to Brittany with my parents when I was five and grew up surrounded by fields, forests, and quiet countryside. Alot of my childhood was spent outdoors, lighting fires, fishing and exploring. |
🔧 Although I’ve wanted to make knives for years, I only really had the opportunity to give it a proper go at the start of 2025. Since then, I’ve kept going! and in June 2025, I sold my first knife and Breizh Blades was born. |
🛠️ My workshop is small but functional, and every knife I make is crafted by hand using the stock removal method. I work with hand tools, some basic power tools, good materials, and a lot of patience! In future I would like to incorporate 3D-printed parts too, which I have been interested in for years. Before this, I worked in graphic design for a few years, creating product labels for vape products and I’ve always been a maker! LEGO was my favourite toy growing up, so that probably says it all! |
✒️ A lot of the knives I make are one-of-a-kind, and I offer full custom builds and commissions. Whether it’s a specific blade shape, a unique handle design, or something personal like etched runes, logos, or names, if you’ve got an idea, I’ll do my best to bring it to life. |
🐝 In the near future, I’ll also be offering a few handmade EDC and bushcraft accessories, along with a knife-care product I’ve developed called Blade Wax, a natural beeswax-based blend to help protect and preserve your knives and gear. |
🎒 I don’t think you need to be an expert to appreciate a good knife. Whether you're into bushcraft, hiking, EDC, or just like well-crafted gear, my goal is to create tools that are both well made and personal! something you’ll want to take with you and use for years! |
📩 Thanks for visiting! and if you’re curious about a custom build, feel free to drop me a message below. Cheers! 😀 |
